पहले अपना test चुनें
Supreme Court की October listing में clerical, shorthand और technical posts अलग हैं। हर post के लिए typing/shorthand test, language, speed और evaluation rules उसी advertisement से पढ़ें। इस अभ्यास योजना को किसी post का official test pattern न समझें।
एक baseline, फिर छोटा लक्ष्य
शुरू में fixed duration का sample लें और output, omissions, substitutions तथा corrections अलग note करें। Tool का raw speed score पर्याप्त नहीं; authority accuracy/penalty कैसे गिनेगी, यह अलग नियम है।
उदाहरण: दो practice runs में दूसरे की speed अधिक है, लेकिन skipped words दोगुने हैं। केवल तेज run को improvement न मानें। पहले error की recurring category देखें—punctuation, similar words, spacing या fatigue।
Practice को तीन blocks में बाँटें
पहला block recurring error पर slow accurate work, दूसरा controlled timed passage और तीसरा saved output की review हो सकता है। रोज नया material लेने के साथ कुछ comparable samples रखें ताकि progress वास्तविक दिखे।
Shorthand post हो तो dictation और transcription की errors अलग track करें। जो शब्द shorthand में सही लिया पर transcription में बदला, उसका अभ्यास उस शब्द को सुनने की समस्या से अलग होगा।
Weekly review और official simulation
सप्ताह के अंत में तीन runs का trend देखें; एक unusually easy passage के score पर निर्भर न रहें। Accuracy स्थिर होने पर ही अपने practice speed goal बढ़ाएँ। Breaks और hand comfort को routine में रखें।
Actual test के keyboard, software, duration और allowed corrections के निर्देश मिलने पर simulation उनसे मिलाएँ। कोई universal “इतनी speed पर selection पक्का” दावा उचित नहीं। Skill qualification और final selection संबंधित भर्ती के पूरे rules के अधीन हैं।
