Mock test के बाद score कैसे सुधारें | Analyse your mistakes

Use an error log, attempted-question accuracy and a timed revision cycle to turn a mock test into a practical study plan.

Score के साथ accuracy भी लिखें

After a mock test, record total questions, attempted questions, correct answers, wrong answers and time used. Calculate attempted-question accuracy as correct answers divided by attempted questions, multiplied by 100. Keep unanswered questions separate. A score can rise because a test is easier; an error log helps you see whether your method is improving.

For example, 45 correct answers out of 60 attempts gives 75% accuracy. If a test awards 2 marks for a correct answer and deducts 0.5 for a wrong answer, 45 correct and 15 wrong gives 90 minus 7.5, or 82.5 marks. This is an illustrative marking scheme. Use the actual instructions of your exam or mock test.

हर गलती को कारण दें | Classify the error

Use four labels: concept gap, method error, reading error and time pressure. A concept gap means you could not explain the rule or fact even after thinking calmly. A method error means you knew the idea but chose a slow or incorrect procedure. A reading error includes missing “not”, a unit or a condition. Time pressure means you left a solvable question because earlier questions consumed the available time.

Write one sentence describing what happened. “I am weak in maths” is too broad to act on. “I used the original price instead of the selling price as the percentage base” identifies a repair. If more than one cause applies, choose the first mistake that led to the wrong answer.

Error log को छोटा और उपयोगी रखें

Create columns for date, topic, question reference, error cause, corrected rule and next review date. Keep only the question reference and the essential working; copying an entire solution makes the log harder to review. Also include correct answers that were lucky guesses, because a correct option does not always mean the concept is secure.

Choose the next action from the cause. For a concept gap, revisit a short explanation and solve a few basic examples. For a method error, compare two approaches and practise the shorter reliable one. For a reading error, mark the key condition before solving. For time pressure, practise a short timed set and set a stopping point for difficult questions.

एक revision cycle चलाएँ

Resolve a missed question without looking at the answer, then attempt a new question on the same idea. Review it again after a short gap and once more later in the week. Adjust the gaps to your exam date and recall. The purpose is to check whether you can retrieve the method independently, not whether the solution looks familiar.

For a one-hour review session, one workable example is 15 minutes diagnosing errors, 20 minutes repairing the two most repeated topics, 15 minutes on fresh timed questions and 10 minutes updating the log. This is a planning example, not a fixed rule. Give more time to topics that are both frequent in your syllabus and repeatedly incorrect.

अगला mock कब दें?

Take the next full mock after completing the most useful corrections, rather than collecting tests without reviewing them. Compare similar tests where possible. Track repeated error types, accuracy by subject and time spent on questions eventually left unanswered. A single high or low score should not decide your entire study plan.

Use the official syllabus and current exam instructions to choose topics and marking rules. Our Practice Quiz can provide short practice sets, while your error log records what to revise next. No practice score guarantees a selection result.
